Carpenter’s Helper
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Education Requirements: No degree, diploma, or certificate required.
Experience:
• Experience is an asset but not mandatory.
• Must be willing to learn and take instruction well.
Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures and weather conditions.
• Working at heights.
• Dusty environments.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Hardworking, dependable, and reliable.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape.
• Experience with hand and power tools is considered an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to the carpenter/owner with various tasks as required, including but not limited to:
• Loading and unloading materials and debris.
• Measuring and cutting materials.
• Lifting and installing windows and doors.
• Setting up scaffolding.
• Basic demolition, site cleanup, and preparing job sites.
• Assisting with the installation of siding and trims.
• Operating basic hand and power tools under supervision.
